The best way to learn and remember what happens to rocks over time is to become rocks ourselves! Today, our class did just that and took ourselves through the many processes of the Rock Cycle.
Some of us traveled to every station and some of us got stuck going back and forth between the same two!
During our wrap up session some kid rocks had this to say:
Kid Rock #1: " Rocks get beaten up a lot! (I feel sorry for them!) The location greatly influences the changes of a rock."
Kid Rock #2: "It goes over and over again and sometimes you get stuck between 2 cycles."
Kid Rock #3: "Rocks change so much over time and there are lots of different patterns."
Kid Rock #4: "Almost every rock becomes sediment at some point. All three types of rocks can get weathered."
